Screw pump bearings

The Landy screw pump upper bearings are supplied as wall-mounted bearing or foot-mounted bearing.
The wall-mounted bearing gives following advantages:

  • forces on civil construction will be better absorbed
  • odour-tight separation between screw pump and the room in which the drive unit is installed

The the lower bearings are supplied in four different types:

  • conventional grease lubricated 
  • grease lubricated heavy duty 
  • medium lubricated 
  • Eco-friendly lower bearing.

Water-in-oil detection

All our eco-friendly bearings can be fitted with a water-in-oil alarm system.
This system gives an alarm when certain amount of water or some other conducting medium has polluted the oil in the bearing housing.

The system can be fitted to new bearings as well as be retrofitted to existing bearings.our screw pumps can be equipped with a condition monitoring system.
This system on-line continuously supplies details about the upper and lower bearing.

 

 

 

New drive technique

Until today most screw pump installations are executed with V-belt transmissions drives.

However, this traditional application is outdated.

If a direct drive is applied the energy consuming and high maintenance V-belt transmission is no longer necessary.

This results in a saving of approx. 5%.

The direct coupled drive-unit, in combination with a frequency convertor, can be much easier fine-tuned to the actual supply of the treatment plant.

In other words no more energy than strictly necessary will be used.

On top of that other advantages will be accomplished by fine-tuning the screw pump capacity to the supply of the plant, such as a much better process control.

New erection method

During erection of new screw pumps Landustrie often uses a casting mould for realizing the concrete trough.The advantage of this method is that a superior quality of concrete trough can be achieved.

Also concretting is less depending on weather conditions and craftsmanship.
Furthermore any type of grouting material can be used.

Because of this free choice of grouting material alos higher wear resistance is achieved.
This again will lead to energy savings; a wear resistant layer between the screw pump and the trough means a fixed clearance for the lifetime of the screw pump installation.
Increasing leak losses because of sand, gravel and other dirt will be a matter of the past.

A perfect trough is essential in order to build high efficient screw pumps.
